Under the Sea, the New Bedford Whaling Museum’s annual summer benefit, celebrates our ties to the sea, each other, and the coastal communities with whom we share this connection.

Capturing the excitement and elegance of A Singularly Marine and Fabulous Produce: the Cultures of Seaweed, the Museum’s summer 2023 major exhibition, this summer’s benefit will evoke the refreshing sea breezes, sunset vistas, and warm companionship of an evening on the water with friends. Under the Sea will draw 200+ attendees from across the SouthCoast for an outdoor reception and dinner in the heart of historic downtown New Bedford. Guests will enjoy cocktails and a raw bar on our plaza, followed by a seated dinner under a tent.  The evening’s brief program will include a fabulous live auction, and an insiders’ preview of the Museum’s exciting upcoming projects.
