Celebrate the seminal exhibition The Azorean Spirit: The Art of Domingos Rebêlo, which runs from March 31-September 22, 2022 at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, with a private exhibition viewing and reception, followed by an hour-long lively talk surrounding Rebêlo’s paintings, works on paper, and his legacy.

During the roundtable discussion, the Whaling Museum's Chief Curator, Naomi Slipp, preeminent scholars of Azorean and Portuguese culture and identity, Memory Holloway and Onésimo Teotónio Almeida, and researcher and grandson of the artist, Jorge Rebêlo, will discuss the art, life, and influence of twentieth-century painter, Domingos Rebêlo.
