Whaling Museum offers free admission to Westport and Dartmouth residents

Limited number of passes available at South Dartmouth and Westport Public Libraries

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. —The New Bedford Whaling Museum is offering free admission to Westport and Dartmouth Massachusetts residents. Free passes are now available at the Southworth Library in South Dartmouth and the Westport Free Public Library in Westport. Passes can be requested by calling either library, and must be presented at the Whaling Museum reception desk for admission. Free passes are limited in number and will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis; limit of four per family. This special offer is made possible by the Dartmouth and Westport Cultural Councils, local agencies supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. The Whaling Museum is located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill, in New Bedford Massachusetts and is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Information about the Museum is available at www.whalingmuseum.org or by calling (501) 997-0046.

The New Bedford Whaling Museum ignites learning through explorations of art, history, science and culture rooted in the stories of people, the region and an international seaport.
