Thursday, July 13, 2023 | 4:00PM
Join us for The Adventures of Cray story time with G Pa Rhymes on Thursday, July 13 at 4:00pm. G Pa Rhymes' books deal with important social and environmental issues such as friendship, beach clean-up, honesty, and bravery, using language that is both engaging and accessible to young readers. His work is perfect for parents and educators who want to instill positive values in children while encouraging a love of reading. G Pa Rhymes is a sought-after speaker and reader at schools, museums, libraries, and other random places where he puts smiles on kids' faces.
G Pa Rhymes, a.k.a. Gary Wakstein, spent 50 years in the restaurant industry until his son recognized his talent as a "rappin rhymin storyteller" and encouraged him to write children's books. With a passion for teaching kids valuable life lessons through rhyme and reading, G Pa Rhymes along with the multitalented Erica Leigh (illustrator) created "The Adventures of Cray," a series of children's books inspired by his walks on the beach, his children and grandchildren.
Part of the “Under the Sea: Seaweed & Sea Creatures” weekend, this cost-free program is ideal for families with children 4-7 year-of-age. Registration is kindly requested.
