🔹 Blue Whales: Return of the Giants - Showing Wednesdays July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, August 13, 20, 27, and Saturday 8/30
Blue Whales are the largest animal that has ever lived, bigger than dinosaurs. They grow longer than a jetliner and their tongue weighs as much as an elephant. The Giant Screen is the only place where you can see them life-size! Join an adventure of a lifetime to discover a long-lost Blue Whale pod in a remote corner of the ocean, where no scientists or film crews have explored before. What the expedition reveals will help inspire new marine protected areas.
🔹 Antarctica: On the Edge - Showing Saturdays July 5 and August 2
It is a land of mystery and yet what happens here affects every single one of us. With never-before seen footage, our story brings audiences to the farthest reaches of this wild and majestic continent. It is the coldest, driest and windiest place on Earth with the roughest oceans and yet, weird and wonderful creatures thrive here in astounding abundance.
🔹 Ocean Odyssey - Showing Saturdays July 12 and August 9
500 million years ago life left this blue womb and colonized the land, but we are still intricately linked to the ocean. Our climates, coastlines, ecosystems, and economies are tied to the perpetual movement of water between continents. The great ocean currents are the arteries and veins of Planet Earth! This is the story of one particularly fascinating flow - the East Australian Current, a massive oceanic river that stretches the length of Australia's east coast.
🔹 Oceans: Our Blue Planet - Showing Saturdays July 19 and August 16
Oceans: Our Blue Planet takes us on a global odyssey to discover the largest and least explored habitat on earth. New ocean science and technology has allowed us to go further into the unknown than we ever thought possible. From the coastal shallows to deeper, more mysterious worlds, we reveal the untold stories of the oceans’ most astonishing creatures.
🔹 Turtle Odyssey - Showing Saturdays July 26 and August 23
Sea Turtles are some of the most majestic and ancient creatures on Earth. For over 100 million years, they have traversed the seas, surviving multiple mass extinctions and playing critical roles in maintaining healthy, marine food webs. Not only do these friendly animals captivate us as they peacefully glide through the ocean, but their personal journeys of survival are equally fascinating.
