A reception and celebration for the opening of this apprentice-designed exhibition.

In celebration of the program’s approaching 10th anniversary, apprentices reflect on the program’s previous nine years and document stories and experiences of apprentices past and present. 

Young & Powerful is an audio-based exhibition which offers a glimpse into the history and impact of the program as well as the personalities and identities of the apprentices themselves.

A 2017 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award winner and a recipient of the 2018 Excellence in Programming award from the Education Professional Network (EdCom) of the American Alliance of Museums, the New Bedford Whaling Museum’s High School Apprenticeship Program is continuously evolving and growing.
