Volunteer Program Information Session

Our museum volunteers provide mission-driven, relevant, engaging, and culturally responsive learning experiences for people of all ages through guided programs, tours, and positive visitor interactions in our galleries. We are looking for Tour Guides to provide exciting and engaging learning experiences to student groups and inspire learners of all ages through explorations of art, history, science and culture rooted in the stories of people, the region and an international seaport.
Interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities? Join us for an information session on Tuesday, August 25 at 1:00 pm. This session will include an overview of the Museum's volunteer program and upcoming training sessions. Meet current volunteers and Museum staff and learn how you can become a Whaling Museum volunteer.
The next round of volunteer orientation and training is scheduled to start in September 2026 with a choice of weekday or weekend sessions.
