Cardboard Harbor
Get ready to become a master architect and help construct the New Bedford harbor using only cardboard! From it's distinct waterfront buildings to the fascinating boats, to the sea creatures in the harbor, let your imagination and cardboard creations transform our Harbor View Gallery into a vibrant mini-version of the city we all know and love.
No matter your skill level, join us throughout the week in this interactive fun-for-all-ages activity . All tools and supplies will be provided. Then, on Saturday, April 20 join us to view the final version of the cardboard harbor that you helped create.
Unleash the power of renewable energy and help charge Cardboard Harbor with Vineyard Wind!
The Vineyard Wind team will also be on site on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Visit their station to explore the nation's first commercial-scale offshore wind project powering over 400,000 homes and businesses in Massachusetts. Engage in hands-on activities to design, build, and test your own wind turbine blades, as well as gain insights into offshore wind job opportunities and career pathways through the lens of a wind technician.

Scavenger Hunt
Pick up your scavenger hunt card at the admission desk and search the museum galleries for some very unique whales! Return your completed scavenger hunt card to the admissions desk for a special victory stamp!
3D Theater Experience

Big Blue Pictures, an immersive 3D theater experience at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, is the first and only 3D theater on the SouthCoast of Massachusetts. In April, a new film titled "Ocean Odyssey" will be available for your viewing pleasure. Tickets for 3D film may be purchased with general admission or separately.
