AHA! Night – Contradance with Pride
Thursday, June 11, 2026 | 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM - Free Admission

Enjoy free Museum admission and full access from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, plus a family-friendly whale scavenger hunt. Access is limited to the Jacobs Family Gallery after 5:00 PM.

From 6:00 – 8:00 PM, join the New Bedford Whaling Museum and EPIC Southcoast for an evening of music, movement, and community during AHA! Pride Night in the Jacobs Family Gallery – under the whale bones.

This inclusive contradance celebration welcomes participants of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and experience levels. Featuring live traditional music and guided community dancing, the evening embraces EPIC Southcoast’s “Come as you are; free” philosophy — creating a joyful, welcoming space where everyone is encouraged to participate authentically and comfortably.

No dance experience or partner is necessary. All dances will be taught, and beginners are warmly encouraged to attend.

Presented in collaboration with EPIC Southcoast as part of AHA! New Bedford Pride programming.

Free and open to the public.
