February Vacation at the New Bedford Whaling Museum
Visit the Museum during February Vacation to enjoy special activities!
Throughout February vacation week, we invite families to explore themes of conservation throughout the Museum. Monday, February 21st through Friday, February 25th visitors are encouraged to locate each of the five Conservation Stations by searching for the hidden whales that correspond to them between 9:30am and Noon.
In the afternoon, continue the scavenger hunt fun until the Museum closes! Return your completed scavenger hunt to the admissions desk for a special victory stamp!

Station 1: Search and Destroy
Activity: Explore toothed whales and echolocation
Station 2: Sounds & Songs
Activity: Discover how sound works through a number of different hands-on experiments
Station 3: Corals & Conservation
Activity: Explore some of the smallest creatures in our ocean
Station 4: Through the Window
Activity: Compare whale skeletons to human skeletons
Station 5: Insulated from the Cold
Activity: Experiment with insulating properties of blubber

These hidden whales will lead the way to our Conservation Stations!
