Saturday, October 21, 2017 | 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

A fascinating look at knots – practical, cultural, and literary, was presented by Museum curators and some of the world’s most renowned knot and rigging experts. To coincide with the Museum’s new exhibition, Thou Shalt Knot: Clifford W. Ashley, the International Guild of Knot Tyers (IGKT) held this year’s annual meeting at the Whaling Museum. Participants enjoyed interesting lectures and demonstrations on all things knotty.
