Learn to eat, see, and hear like a Right Whale

Monday, April 16th
10 am – 2 pm
Right Whale Day offered fun learning activities for kids and adults that focused on fostering greater awareness and appreciation of the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale.

Right Whale Day was completely FREE for New Bedford Residents, Whaling Museum members, and free with admission for families outside of New Bedford.
Children were required to be accompanied by an adult.

Climb inside life-sized inflatable Right and Humpback Whales to see the biology of these creatures first hand!
 Create arts and crafts with the New Bedford Whaling Museum High School Apprentices.
 Listen to the story Dario and the Whale, read by author Cheryl Lawton Malone.
 Enjoy an ocean-themed magic and puppet show by Silly Sally’s Entertainment at 11:30 am.
 Make Right Whale magnets and whale origami.
 End the day with a tasty slice of Right Whale Day cake.
