Celebrate the power of wind, waves, and whales with the Whaling Museum and the New Bedford Symphony Woodwind Quintet. Inspired by the exhibition De Wind is Op! Climate, Culture and Innovation in Dutch Maritime Painting, and as part of the city’s Summer Winds initiative, this memorable evening will feature music inspired by the Dutch’s innovation in harnessing the wind and sea.

The program will include Samuel Barber’s Summer Music, Darius Milhaud’s La Cheminee du Roi Rene, and David Chadwick’s Three Sea Sketches.

Fine hors d’oeuvres will be served during the reception along with a private viewing of the exhibition (cash bar).
