FEBRUARY VACATION WEEK February 19 – 23  |  Don’t miss this week of family-friendly events to engage children in hands-on history, science, and arts-based projects.

MONDAY, February 19 – KICKOFF

FREE FOR NEW BEDFORD RESIDENTS

February Vacation Week activities are free for members, and with regular Museum admission.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

10 am – 2 pm 
Climb Inside a Giant Inflatable Whale 
Arts & Crafts 
Scavenger Hunt

Photo Booth and Photo Shoots 
Dress as a historical figure in the photo booth or take your own pictures with backdrops through­out the Museum.

11 am Museum Highlights Tour 
Take a 45-minute highlights tour with a docent.

 

TUESDAY, February 20 & THURSDAY, February 22
2 pm Curator Tour
45-minute tours of exhibition galleries guided by a Museum Curator.

 

FRIDAY, February 23 only
10:30 am All Aboard the Lagoda
All aboard the Lagoda: Dress as your favorite character and climb aboard the Lagoda! Learn the ropes, interact with different cultures, and scour the seas in search of whales as you experience a global whaling voyage through role-play on the world’s largest model whaleship.
