Attendees celebrated the life and accomplishments of Captain Joshua Slocum, who sailed out of Fairhaven in 1895 on the Spray to become the first person to singlehandedly circumnavigate the globe.

The exhibition, titled The Spray will Come Back”: Solo Circumnavigator Captain Joshua Slocum, accompanies the release of a new biography on Slocum by author Stan Grayson. Published in partnership with Tilbury House Books.
