Organizations collaborate to help all ages explore ocean health

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – Ocean health and marine science will be front and center on August 13 at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.  Visitors of all ages can celebrate the ocean and learn about marine life at the Museum’s “Party for the Ocean” beginning at 10:00 am and running until 3:00 pm. Activities in the Museum’s Jacobs Family Gallery are free for everyone. Access to the Museum’s other exhibits and galleries during Party for the Ocean is subject to regular admission fees (free for Museum members).

Also featured is an up-close-and-personal ocean touch table from the Lloyd Center for the Environment, simulated dolphin rescue and marine animal rehabilitation with National Marine Life Center, and other activities presented by the Buttonwood Park Zoo, Buzzards Bay Coalition, and the New Bedford Whaling Museum’s High School Apprentices.
