Teacher Appreciation Day – August 26, 2013
Monday, August 26, 2013
The New Bedford Whaling Museum Education Department understands the time and effort it takes for a teacher to organize a field trip. We are appreciative that you choose to bring your students to the New Bedford Whaling Museum and that you place confidence in our ability to meet your curriculum needs. We also know that during those field trips you cannot always enjoy our galleries to the fullest, since your attention is often diverted by multiple responsibilities and student needs.
So, as a means of giving you an opportunity to visit our exhibits at your own pace, and to show our gratitude for bringing your class(es) to the Museum, we invite you to a Teacher Appreciation Day on Monday, August 26, from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.
You can walk the museum at your leisure. We will have docents and high school apprentices on hand to lead tours and answer questions. There will be a presentation in the theater featuring one of our science programs. You can share your feedback about our programs – your comments help us improve and update our offerings. We will provide refreshments and some takeaway goodies as a token of our appreciation.
