Eligibility

Students must be New Bedford residents, currently enrolled in the 9th grade or 10th grade, in good academic standing and belong to households that qualify as low-income to be eligible for the program. As part of the application process, Apprentices will submit a signed Income Verification Form, as required by our funders.

Application Process

  • Digital application forms are available below
  • Applications are available on paper at the museum’s front desk
  • Completed forms and a copy of your most recent report card can be submitted to: Phoebe Magee, Manager of Young Adult Programs at the New Bedford Whaling Museum
  • Potential candidates will be invited to the Museum for an interview.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with a priority deadline of Monday, May 3, 2021.
