The Melville Society Cultural Project (MSCP) is a research-oriented group of scholars within the Melville Society dedicated to fostering a critical understanding of Herman Melville’s writings, life, and times.

A Critical Archive – In 2017, MEL will begin work on editions of Typee, Piazza Tales, Melville’s journals, and the Melville Family Correspondence.

Introducing and celebrating Melville and Moby-Dick to youth through school programs, the Apprenticeship Program, Herman Melville Family Day and research pages on the Museum website.

Video and audio tours in partnership with the Melville Society Cultural Project.
