Partnering with the Húsavík Whale Museum in Iceland, connecting high school students with a focus on ocean conservation and ecotourism.

Collaborative efforts have allowed the Museum to digitize and promote the Research Library's holdings.

Primary Sources Illuminating the Ocean Deep: A research course at the New Bedford Whaling Museum – Winter Session 2015

The central idea behind this project – students and community members become involved in ground level historical research.

A cooperative agreement between the Museum and the WHOI is underway with the gift of the Watkins-Schevill Collection of Marine Mammal Sound Recordings.
