The Whaling Museum needs you to join its crew!
Are you looking for ways to make worthwhile contributions to your city and pass along its wonderful history to others? The New Bedford Whaling Museum is looking for volunteers. With your time, interest and energy, you can serve as a guide to tell the story of the Museum’s heritage to the visitors who come through its doors.

As a volunteer we ask you to:
- Participate in a prescribed training program
- Establish a regular schedule for volunteering
- Serve as a "goodwill ambassador" for the Museum
- Belong to the New Bedford Whaling Museum
- Enjoy yourself!

The Museum will provide
- An opportunity for public service
- A professional orientation and training program
- An opportunity to meet new and interesting people
- A chance to promote the history of New Bedford
