On
May 6th the Museum hosted “Photo Op,” a friendly,
but competitive, silent auction of the 90 brilliant black and
white images of the Norman Fortier Collection.

The event was a complete success, with every framed picture selling at auction for a final tally of over $21,000! More than 100 people showed up to enjoy the drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and conversation. The bidding heated up at the end of the night, with virtually all the guests getting into the spirit. We'd like to thank every one who attended and helped to make this a memorable night.
If you enjoyed the Norman Fortier exhibit, we hope you'll visit our next art exhibit, Ken Davies: A Retrospective at Eighty, consisting of 80 paintings by the renowned New Bedford artist and master of still-life painting. More details to come.
