Arthur Moniz RetrospectiveCelebrating 45 years of painting the South Coast, Ships and the SeaLocal artists Arthur Moniz has been painting since he was a teenager, and his career, now spanning nearly half century, marks a remarkable journey of technique and subject. While New Bedford area and maritime themes dominate Arthur's work, his oeuvre is much broader. The exhibition displays the chronological, thematic, and technical range of Moniz's work, some of which have become staples of the local visual lexicon and others which represent little known examples of his skills.
